Environmental Investigation Unit Permit Contaminated Materials Review

Brief description: MnDOT requests letters of interest to provide MnDOT’s Office of Environmental Stewardship (OES) Environmental Investigation Unit (EIU) desktop level reviews and recommendations regarding permit applications for work conducted within and/or connecting to MnDOT’s right-of-way. The Selected Responder will review and manage the EIU Permit Email Inbox, complete technical review of permit application corridors to determine if a given work-type or situation may encounter contamination within the existing right-of-way. The Selected Responder will provide a recommendation to MnDOT permits staff regarding any additional requirements for the permittee to operate within accordance of Minnesota regulatory framework. The Selected Responder will input data into the PACER database, prepare and submit an internal memorandum using the EIU approved template, and manage all documentation. This research supports District and Central Office permit groups. Work will be conducted out of the Selected Responder’s home office.
