Scope
|
Montgomery County, Maryland is a 498-square mile jurisdiction home to over 1.0 million people, 19 municipalities, a robust biotechnology hub, and numerous federal/military installations. Sharing a border with the District of Columbia, Montgomery County is a member of the National Capital Region (NCR) and faces a number of unique threats and hazards ranging from terrorism to severe weather. The Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (OEMHS) is responsible for facilitating whole-community efforts to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from emergencies and critical incidents. OEMHS is seeking responses to its Request for Proposals (RFP) for a well-developed homeland security and emergency management crisis information management system. The system will support coordination, information sharing, and resource management processes during both daily operations and emergency response. The system must guarantee 24/7 access and interoperability between 450+ users across 120+ government, nonprofit, and private sector organizations. |
