REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS
RRFB Installation
Shawsheen Street at Breckenridge Road
PW-26-22
The proposed work includes the supplying, delivery, and installation of a new pair of
Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) including all signs, posts (supply and delivery
only), concrete foundations (supply and delivery only), post bases (supply and delivery only),
electrical equipment, batteries, solar panels, hardware, wiring, push buttons, calibration, sign
coordination, and all else necessary for this installation of RRFBs, complete-in-place at the
Shawsheen Street crosswalk at the intersection of Breckenridge Road in Tewksbury,
Massachusetts. Concrete foundations, post bases, and posts will be installed by the Town of
Tewksbury Department of Public Works.
Request for Quotation (RFQ) Documents are available after 2:00PM local time on
Wednesday, June 24, 2026. RFQ Documents can be obtained by contacting Andrew Stack,
Town Engineer at 978-640-4440 x256 or astack@tewksbury-ma.gov. No monetary deposit is
required to obtain the documents.
Contract documents may also be viewed but not obtained at the DPW Office during the hours
of 7:00AM to 3:00PM Monday through Friday.
Written quotations for RRFB Installation – Shawsheen Street at Breckenridge Road for the
Town of Tewksbury, Contract No. PW-26-22, will be received at the Department of Public
Works (DPW) Office located at 999 Whipple Road, Tewksbury, MA 01876 until 2:00PM local
time on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
The solicitation and award of the Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30, §
39M. The Town reserves the right, in its absolute and sole discretion, to waive any informality
in or to reject any or all quotations if deemed to be in the public’s best interest.
