DOH Active Living Program Services

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit Proposals for one Contractor to provide technical assistance to local communities who are working to create policy, systems, and environmental changes that make physical activities more accessible to Ohioans.

The Ohio Department of Health’s (ODH) Active Living programming aims to facilitate the adoption and/or implementation of policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) changes that increase Ohioans’ opportunities for physical activity by creating a built environment that improves the accessibility and safety of active transportation. ODH recognizes the difficulty of implementing PSE changes and seeks to provide technical assistance, resources, and other learning opportunities to Ohio communities pursuing these changes. The purpose of this contract is to support local, regional, and statewide efforts to increase access to opportunities for physical activity through greater access to active transportation networks and parks and playgrounds, and through land use or local policy decisions that ensure all road users are accommodated when building new or updating existing infrastructure.
