Project Title: Rehabilitation Stabilization of Goldsboro Union Station
Description: Obtain the services of a professional Design-Builder team interested in contracting for the immediate stabilization needs of a historic landmark built in 1909, Goldsboro’s Union Station (hereafter referred to as the PROJECT). The City desires that the team work with local and NCDOT Rail Division representatives through the development of the plans and construction to assure a quality project that adheres to the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and through guidance of the NC State Historic Preservation Office, if necessary. Union Station is a beloved building that signifies Goldsboro’s origins and represents our community’s aspirations. The stabilization work will protect it for years to come and allow for a future investment and reuse. This phase of this redevelopment is critical and needs to be executed with care, priority, and sensitivity by skilled and experienced professionals.
