CITY OF MELISSA – REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
Relocation of the Historic Scott-Barker House

The City of Melissa, Texas, is seeking sealed proposals from qualified and experienced firms for the relocation of the historic Scott-Barker House, currently located at 1501 Harrison St., to its new site at 3105 Central St., Melissa, Texas.

The Scope of Work includes construction of a new pier and beam foundation and the relocation of the two-story wooden structure, in accordance with guidelines from the Texas Historical Commission.

Interested parties must demonstrate a minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in relocating historic structures and constructing appropriate foundations. Additional criteria include possession of required permits, insurance, and related professional credentials.

Advertisement Dates: June 6 and June 13, 2025
Deadline for Written Questions: June 24, 2025
Proposal Submission Deadline: July 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
Anticipated Award Date: July 8, 2025
