Solicitation Description:
The purpose of this procurement is to procure Architectural and Engineering (A/E) Services to evaluate new frog designs that were previously designed for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). The new frogs will be installed on the mainline track beside the existing standard frog design by WMATA. This evaluation should compare the durability of these newly designed frogs and their required maintenance intervals against WMATA's standard design. The analysis must include the services of a qualified specialty contractor and research provider capable of performing the wheel-rail dynamic analysis and testing required under this scope.
