Chain of Lakes Trail Bridges Repair Project

The City of Winter Haven offers this Invitation to Bid, ITB-25-09, to qualified contractors to repair the Chain of Lakes Trail Bridge No. 1 and Bridge No 2.

• Bridge No.1 is a 113-foot-long pony truss pedestrian bridge that crosses Conine & Hartridge Canal, south of Carefree Cove Dr and east of Hwy 17.

• Bridge No. 2 is a 91-foot-long pony truss pedestrian bridge that crosses over a small canal (unknown name) that connects to the West side of Lake Rochelle in Winter Haven, FL., is just east of the vehicular FDOT Bridge No. 160084 (culvert), which crosses over the same canal, and is about 1,000 ft. North of the intersection of Chain of Lakes Trail and Sanctuary Blvd.

The repairs to each bridge included in this project are detailed in the Bridge Repair Specifications included in the solicitation documents. These repairs include but are not limited to concrete apron and concrete pavement replacement, repairs to expansion joints, timber rub rail replacement, bridge deck repairs, coating existing structural steel, and power wash pedestrian railings & sidewalks.
