SECTION 1.0 – SCOPE OF WORK AND BIDDER RESPONSES
1.1 Minimum Mandatory Requirements
All Bids will be reviewed for compliance with the mandatory requirements. Bids deemed non-responsive
will be eliminated from further consideration.
1) Bidder must have five (5) years’ experience providing a range of services equivalent to or similar to
the services being requested by Jackson County in this RFQ.
2) The Bidder shall submit a list of five (5) references, including name of institution, address, contact
person, and telephone number
3) The Bidder shall submit a list of five (5) references for each subcontractor to be used on the project.
Identify the work each subcontractor will be designated to do for the project.
4) Bidders must be qualified vendors who have proven, extensive experience in providing and
installing solid doors with sidelights and hardware or similar to those being requested in this
RFQ.
5) The successful contractor and subcontractors must be licensed and insured.
1.2 Description of Deliverables
The Jackson County Courthouse serves as the county’s main courthouse for the judicial department.
The County is looking to install solid doors with sidelights and hardware at Jackson County Courthouse
to increase security for County employees.
The purpose of this RFQ is to secure a contractor to install solid doors with sidelights and hardware.
Jackson County will purchase the doors, sidelights, and hardware from a supplier that will be used by the
contractor for installation.
The contractor will be responsible to receive and handle the doors. Jackson County will provide a place
for the contractor to store them onsite.
The manufacturer/supplier has already performed field measurements and contractor will be responsible
for confirming each door before installation. The doors are to be installed on the existing frames.
The supplier will provide a copy of the product and manufacturer warranty information for the doors and
hardware.
All work is to be done in accordance with industry and safety standards, including manufacturer’s
recommendations for installation.
Installation to be completed by a licensed, certified, and insured installer. Vendor will supply name of
installation company including references with proposal.
Vendor is responsible for verification of measurements and quantities prior to bid submission.

Vendor will install solid doors with sidelights and hardware purchased by Jackson County at the Jackson
County Courthouse located at 312 S. Jackson Street.

1.4 Contractor Responsibilities
A. Contractor responsible for all necessary labor, equipment, safety items (including required fall
protection), and transportation and material costs incurred to fulfill contract per plans, specs and
permits not specifically outlined as Jackson County’s responsibility.
B. Contractor is responsible for thorough review and understanding, and obtaining, all plans,
permits, licensing, and requirements outlined.
C. Completion of necessary bid documents, in entirety.
D. Contractor must be able to provide installation services during the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
EST. It will be the Vendor’s responsibility to determine shift times. Vendor may request work
extended hours each day, and/or seven (7) days per week in order to ensure timely completion of
the project.
E. Contractor must supply an adequate number of personnel to complete the project by the
designated deadline.
F. Safety Measures: Vendor shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of employees on the
worksite and shall erect and properly maintain at all times, as required on job conditions and
process of the work, all necessary safeguards for the protection of the personnel and public.
