Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Radiogenic Isotopes Lab (RIL), Reston VA, plans to award a non-competitive purchase order to Spectromat Massenspektrometer GMBH of Bremen, Germany. The purpose is for replacement of electronic boards and parts (QHV/Filament Regulator) of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer manufactured by Spectromat Massenspektrometer GMBH. The anticipated contract will be firm, fixed-price with delivery 90 days from date of award.

As the manufacturer of the SPECTROMAT mass spectrometer, Spectromat Massenspektrometer is the sole source for technical support and maintenance services for all SPECTROMAT instrumentation. No other contractor provides authorized, qualified SPECTROMAT parts.

In accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 5.101c(4)(vi), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency; however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 12.201-1.
