ADDENDUM 1
1. First, could you let us know how many authorized and filled positions (noted 135
employees) are included in the study, as well as the number of unique job classifications?
Additionally, are part-time, seasonal, temporary, and contract positions part of this
review? Understanding the breadth of roles will help us tailor our approach.
See addendum 1 on the City’s Website: www.tegacaysc.gov
2. Were also curious whether the City wishes to maintain its current classification
structure, or if youre interested in exploring a broader job architecture framework, such
as job families, career paths, and level definitions. This will help us gauge the depth of
analysis required.
Current classification structure.
3. In terms of job descriptions, does the City expect validation and updates to existing
documents, or would comprehensive rewrites be preferable where necessary?
Yes to both questions as applicable
4. Are executive leadership, department director, Human Resources, Police, and Fire
positions included in the scope of the classification and compensation review?
Yes
5. Regarding compensation benchmarking, does the City currently participate in
compensation surveys or maintain market data resources, or would you like the
consultant to provide all market benchmarking data and survey resources?
Provide all market benchmarking data and survey resources.
6. Should the compensation review emphasize base pay only, or total
compensation—including benefits, retirement programs, specialty pays, certifications,
and differentials?
