Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is seeking sealed bids from qualified vendors for an Auto body Repair and Painting Services per the Scope of Work contained in this proposal.
White Fleet: Types of vehicles to be serviced under the resulting contract will include, but are not limited to, sedans, vans, SUVs and pick-up trucks through one-ton models. The resulting contract will also cover utility body trucks. Utility body manufacturers include Stahl, Koenig, Knapheide, ETC.
Yellow Fleet: Types of vehicles to be serviced under the resulting contract will include School Buses of various manufacturers. Manufacturers include, but are not limited to, International, Thomas, Bluebird, and Collins.
Tucson Unified School District intends to make multiple awards, awarded Contractor(s) will have the opportunity to provide quotes on specific vehicle type body repair and refinishing work when required by Fleet Services. Bid will be awarded based only off the pricing page for hourly rates as listed.
When specific repair and/or refinishing jobs are required, the Tucson Unified School District Fleet Services will provide a complete repair/refinishing request to the awarded Contractor(s) and request a full itemized price quote for requested services. The district’s request will also include a delivery deadline. Fleet Services will evaluate the responses and award the specific job to the Contractor whose quote is most advantageous to TUSD’s Transportation fleet services department with respect to price and delivery time.
Vendor(s) should generate detailed breakdown of quotations and final billing to be compliant with industry standards. Details should include a full breakdown of parts, labor (bytask), additional fees for paint, supplies or disposal. Vendor generated invoicing will be used as legal backing to support insurance claims and request for reimbursement.
