Refer to attached map outline and work location spreadsheet for # of cycles and miles information. Quantities based on the multiple cycles of highway sweeping. Department will measure highway sweeping operation by the number of sweeping miles. The Unit of measure MI is lane miles (sweeping miles). Between cycles, KYTC will make an effort to manage the large debris and foreign matter that is known to collect on the shoulders etc., however the vendor will be required to collect debris and foreign matter prior to sweeping, during the actual cycle and dispose of it per the contract. Vendor will pick up and remove all foreign matter and debris from the roadway by hand, brooming, or suction process from designed areas. Dispose of the foreign matter and the debris at a location (s) outside of the highway rights of ways. Perform highways sweeping by the work locations (s) per item and conditions as set forth Provide and utilize a truck mounted mobile vacuum sweeper possessing the following capabilities: Minimum of a 4 cubic yard hopper Equipped with a dust suppression system Have curb and rear broom capacity Unit shall be newer than 10 years old Escort vehicle to be a 62 mph rated impact truck mounted attenuator with arrow board as required by the MUTCD manual (current edition).
