Description

The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking vendors to provide a centrally managed mass storage solution for its Mission Planning Systems (MPS) program. This initiative, "Project: Comet," requires a secure and reliable Network Attached Storage (NAS) device ("The Device") bundled with essential peripherals and accessories. The solution must offer robust data protection, user access controls, and network connectivity to authorized clients, ensuring the efficient management of critical mission planning data. The USAF requires two End Item configurations: one packaged within a reusable transit case (End Item A), and the other within a durable cardboard box (End Item B), both including the mass storage device and associated peripherals. Interested vendors should be prepared to meet stringent security requirements and provide a comprehensive, ready-to-deploy solution for this vital component of USAF aircraft operations. See attached Statement of Work (SOW) for the technical requirements for this effort as well as RFI for instructions on responding.
