The purpose of this solicitation is to accelerate the adoption of advanced energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies at California food processing plants, demonstrate their reliability and effectiveness, help California food processors work towards a low-carbon future, enhance and benefit the electric grid, especially during net peak periods and benefit priority populations. The technologies to be funded by this Grant Funding Opportunity (GFO) will provide significant benefits to the electrical grid, maximize the reduction of GHG emissions, and/or reduce air pollution in under-resourced communities.
