SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUOTATION BUT INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.



The Notice ID number is FA441825Q0016 and shall be used to reference any written responses to this source sought.



The requirement is to provide:



628 Contracting Squadron and 437 Maintenance Group at Joint Base Charleston anticipates a requirement to acquire one (1) Mobility War Trailer built to the specifications below to be used as a proof of concept. Trailer must be built to the footprint of the ISU-90s and meet ATTLA loading and shipping requirements for C-17 or C-130’s.



Salient Characteristics:




  • Exterior

    • 16’ enclosed all-aluminum frame trailer with an extended 59 ½” tongue total 251 ½” length

    • 101” width, over axle design

    • 98” max height to meet opportune air ATTLA requirements

    • Reinforced lower structural framework to meet opportune air ATTLA requirements

    • Adjustable Pintle hook attachment point

    • Manual operated front drop-leg jack with wheel

    • Tandem 7K LBS axles with electric brakes

    • 8 surface mounted 12V Whelen LED exterior scene lights

    • Heavy duty .090 formed aluminum siding for added strength & durability. The formed installation process allows the aluminum panels to butt up against each panel and are T-bolted on the interior instead of overlaid exterior panels secured with double-sided VHB tape.

    • Painted with a commercial automotive grade paint

    • Roof mounted aluminum platform rack system to attach and integrate Pavillion SPIS Tents & Star Shield

    • Removable & collapsible ladder

    • 6 ATTLA certified 25,000 lbs capacity tie-down points

    • 72”W X 24”D removable aluminum exterior worktop platform

    • 4 12K LBS manual spring-assist drop-leg jacks

    • 2” thick insulated double-sealed 36”W double side entry door with cypher lock

    • 40”W aluminum folding entry step with Line-X overlay

    • Pierce and roll aluminum one-piece roof system

    • 12K BTU heat pump HVAC

    • Roof rail and lower rail to be huck-rivoted semi-type to provide added strength

    • Narrow rear ramp door with spring-assist, billet aluminum grab handles and keyed pressure latches

    • 10-year structural warranty



  • Interior

    • ¼” aluminum welded smooth subfloor with non-slip Line-X floor overlay

    • DTOS cabinet that includes 16 individual 15”W X 3”H drawers with power receptacle in each drawer

    • 36”W 4 drawer tool chest with 1 Large, 1 Medium, 2 Small drawers

    • CNC-machined heavy duty aluminum countertops 1 30”D & 1 21”D

    • 35”W X 22”D X 35”T 2-door Hazmat storage cabinet

    • 2 large CNC-machined shelving units with endplates over each interior fender with 2ea adjustable 30”D shelves per unit

    • Removable security bars for each shelf & integrated L-track on shelving surrounding for netting system

    • 2 15”D CNC-machined single shelves with removable security bars for each shelf & integrated L-track on shelving surrounding for netting system

    • Line-X Non-slip floor overlay on rear door

    • Rear door with will have a flip down ramp for smooth transition

    • L-Track system on the sides of the center isle

    • CNC-machined aluminum robot carrying case

    • TRAX X-2 Robot

    • 2” Aluminum wall crossmembers

    • .090 interior formed aluminum wall panels





This item will be used to transport to austere environments for storage, shelter, and communications. Item needs to be fully integrated into existing USAF Maintenance and Communications systems already in use, and have solar powered capabilities.

  4. Your small business size representations for NAICS Code 336999- All Other Transportation Equipment Manufacturing (i.e., Is your business small or large? If small, is your business VOSB, SDVOSB, WOSB, EDWOSB, HubZone, 8(a), etc?) The size standard for NAICS 336999 is 1000 employees.

  5. Identify if your company has any current acquisition vehicles available (i.e., GSA schedules, NITAAC, SEWP, etc.) under which you sell these services.



Market research is being conducted to determine interest, capability, and socio-economic category of potential sources for the requirement.
