Mowing and Grounds Maintenance Services
1. INVITATION TO QUOTE
The Cartersville-Bartow County Airport (the "Airport"), an entity of the City of Cartersville, Georgia,
is soliciting sealed quotes from qualified contractors to provide mowing and grounds maintenance
services at the Airport. This Request for Quotes (RFQ) outlines the scope of work, submission
requirements, and evaluation criteria.
2. SCOPE OF SERVICES
The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to
perform mowing and grounds maintenance services on approximately 106.56 total acres of Airport
property (excluding 4.56 acres maintained by Phoenix Air).
A. Bushhogging Services
* Approximately 59.87 acres
* Frequency: Monthly
B. Finish Mowing and Weed Eating
* Approximately 42.00 acres
* Frequency:
o Weekly (March through November)
o Biweekly (December through February)
C. General Requirements
* Maintain a uniform mowing height of 3.5 inches
* Remove or mulch clippings as appropriate
* Maintain all areas in a neat, safe, and professional condition
* Exercise caution around airfield infrastructure, signage, and lighting
3. PROJECT SCHEDULE
* Anticipated Start Date: May 7, 2026
* Services shall be performed year-round in accordance with the frequencies outlined above.

4. WORK HOURS AND ACCESS
* Permitted work hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
* No escort required; however:
o Contractor must attend mandatory safety briefings
o Contractor must notify the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) upon arrival and departure
* Contractor shall comply with all applicable FAA, GDOT, and Airport safety regulations
5. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
All respondents must include the following with their quote submission:
1. Itemized Price Proposal
2. Capability Statement (including relevant experience with similar projects)
3. Copy of Valid Business License
4. Certificate of Insurance (COI) meeting the requirements below
5. References (minimum of three recent, relevant projects)
6. INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
The selected contractor shall maintain insurance coverage, at a minimum, as follows:
* Commercial General Liability
* Workers' Compensation (as required by Georgia law)
* Contractors' Public Liability
Proof of insurance must be provided prior to contract execution.
7. EVALUATION CRITERIA
Quotes will be evaluated based on, but not limited to, the following:
* Cost competitiveness
* Experience and qualifications
* Ability to meet service requirements and schedule
* References and past performance

The Airport reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and to waive informalities.
8. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
* This RFQ does not constitute a contract or an o_er to contract
* The Airport reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time
* The selected contractor will be required to enter into a formal agreement with the

* Contractor shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
* Provide SAVE and E-verify compliance documentation
