NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals will be received by the Purchasing Division of the City of High Point, North
Carolina, until 2:30 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, located in the Municipal
Operations Center, Warehouse Building at 816 East Green Drive, High Point, NC, (Come
through the guard gate, go to the stop sign and make a left. The Warehouse is the last door
on the right, look for the dock and yellow chain and the Purchasing/Warehouse sign. Parking
will be on your left), This will not be a Public Bid Opening:
Bid 4002-093026 Ward 5 MG Tank Rehabilitation & Recoating
The City of High Point is issuing this bid for a qualified Contractor to perform exterior painting and
recoating of the 5 MG CROM Reservoir located at the Ward Water Treatment Plant. The work generally
consists of preparing the existing exterior surfaces and applying a new protective coating system in
accordance with the project plans and specifications. Work shall include all necessary surface preparation,
cleaning, coating application, and associated labor, materials, equipment, and incidental work required to
provide a complete and properly finished coating system.
Bids are invited for work as follows, as well as all related miscellaneous work:

A pre-bid site visit will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Frank L.
Ward Water Treatment Plant, 1219 W. Ward Avenue, High Point, NC 27260. Prospective
bidders are encouraged to attend to become familiar with the project site, existing conditions,
and the work to be performed.
General contractors are notified that "An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contractors,"
Sections 87-1 through 87-15, ratified by the General Assembly of North Carolina on March 10,
1925, and as subsequently amended, will be observed in receiving and awarding general
contracts.
Copies of the Contract Documents and Plans may be obtained from the City of High Point.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids as may, in the judgment of the City, serve
its best interest. The City further reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in
any bid submitted.
In accordance with the Federal "Americans with Disabilities Act" (the Act), the City of High
