Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, intends to procure 135 ft Lattice Boom Crawler Crane with Dragline and a 115 ft Lattice Boom Crawler Crane with Dragline Capabilities on a sole sources basis in accordance with the statutory of 10. U.S.C. §3204(a)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302‐1(a)(2). “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency.” Based on the results of market research, it has been determined that Liebherr is the only source with the capability to manufacture cranes with the required draglines.



This potential sole source requirement with: Liebherr-America, Inc., 4800 Chestnut AVE, Newport News, Virginia, 23607-2405, United States, UEI: EK1JQF49PPG9, CAGE Code: 3T9G5.



Award is anticipated in September 2025 and the estimated dollar value is $6,500,000.00.



THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued. However, any business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer in the form of a capability statement. Supporting evidence shall be in sufficient detail that demonstrates the ability to.comply with the requirements listed and must be furnished to the point of contact listed below. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.



The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, will not reimburse for any costs connected with supplying sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. In order to receive a government award, a firm must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://sam.gov/).



Firms must register on a one-time basis, and annually confirm accuracy and completeness of registration information.
