This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. US Army Corps of Engineers - Seattle District, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract to Shell Panolin formerly known as, Panolin America, Inc. Lauren Daum 2300 Barrington Rd Ste 400 Hoffman Estates Il 60169-2036 on a FAR Part 13.106(b) basis. Shell Panolin is to provide brand name Shell Panolin S5 Grease EAL A600P 1, formerly Panolin Biogrease EP1, required replacements of grease and petroleum products at Albeni Falls Dam (AFD), Oldtown, Idaho. These required petroleum products are needed to replace the currently used products that do not meet the Standard Environmental Policy for Oil Accountability at Hydro Operating Projects in the Northwestern Division and Seattle District (See NWS Oil Accountability Policy). Shell Panolin is the only known provider of these specific product. The government will not post a solicitation. The government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 325998. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 1,000.
