Project Description and Scope of Work
THE DISTRICT is seeking qualified Contractor(s) with experience with aerial/underground mainline/middle mile/last mile fiber construction. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to offer prospective Contractors the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities to help fulfill our fiber optic construction requirements. These include but are not limited to line extensions, regular and routine maintenance, and emergency restorations.
THE DISTRICT is maintaining and deploying Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) broadband services in areas of Wasco County and adjacent areas in support of Quality Life Networks (QLife). QLife offers fiber-based services to residents and businesses in communities of Wasco County through a mixture of underground and aerial fiber optics. Qlife serves its customers through a combination of lit and dark fiber services, some with Service Level Agreements, and some without.
All contractor personnel will be required to adhere to the highest quality standards and workmanship. The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining satisfactory standards of employees' competency, conduct, courtesy, appearance, honesty, and integrity, and shall be responsible for taking such disciplinary action with respect to any employee, as may be necessary.
