The work on this project includes the following:
Filter Unit No. 2: Rehabilitate the exterior of one (1) Microfloc Trident TR-840A tri-media gravity filter unit (Unit No. 2), including full containment, protection of exterior parts and surroundings (including adjacent property, equipment, and filter units), protection and containment of the interior of the filter unit not being rehabilitated, repair of exterior surface defects, and exterior cleaning, media blasting, and coating system application. This filter shall remain operational during the execution of this work.
Filter Unit No. 3: Rehabilitate the interior and exterior of one (1) Microfloc Trident TR-840A tri-media gravity filter unit (Unit No. 3), including full containment, protection of exterior parts and surroundings (including adjacent property, equipment, and filter units), removal and disposal of existing filter media, removal and storage of existing clarifier media for reuse, repair of interior and exterior surface defects, interior and exterior filter unit cleaning, media blasting, and coating system application, misc. replacement of interior components, reinstallation of existing clarifier media, supply and installation of clarifier media retention screens, grates, and gaskets, and supply and installation of new filter media.
The estimated cost for this work is $500,000. All other items or details not mentioned above that are required by the Plans or the Contract Documents shall be furnished, fabricated, constructed, or installed.

Qualifications:

The Contractor shall possess a Class A (General Engineering) contractor’s license, and all Contractors and Subcontractors shall possess appropriate Contractor’s Licenses for their trade at the time the contract is awarded.
In particular, the Contractor performing the coating work for the project shall possess a C-33 (Painting and Decorating) contractor’s license at the time the contract is awarded. In order to be considered qualified to perform the work outlined in these Contract Documents, the Contractor shall have specific experience rehabilitating Microfloc Trident TR-840A tri-media gravity filter units (or equivalent).

A prebid conference is scheduled between staff and interested bidders at Shasta Lake City Hall, 4477 Main Street, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 9 a.m. at which time the project will be reviewed. Following this meeting, the group will caravan to the Water Treatment Plant to review the jobsite. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend.
