Replace the entire drive train on the cooling tower cells. Drive train parts to be replaced include the fan shaft, bearings, sheaves, bushings, belt and motor. Replacement fan parts shall be factory provided and assembled and installed to match previously removed. After removal of the old parts, inspect mechanical supports for defects and report any findings, install of new parts, and verify proper operation and fan rotation after install is complete.
The cooling towers for this project are all manufactured by Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC). Additionally, each cooling tower is equipped with a Baltidrive PowerTrain.
If your company has experience working with partial disassembly, reassembly, and replacement of cooling tower motor drivetrains, and you are interested in competing for award, please register for this requirement on the Jefferson Lab Solicitation Bulletin Board at https://misportal.jlab.org/ul/bus_ops/.
