Title: Design, Fabrication, and Installation for Memorial Hall Entryway Enhancement
Addenda: 4
Release Date: 3/20/2025
Due Date: 5/27/2025
The City of Pueblo is seeking a qualified company (Contractor) to design, fabricate, and install an enhanced entryway for the historic Memorial Hall to improve access control and security for visitors and staff. This project involves the design, fabrication, and installation of a tension fabric structure (TFS) to serve as a security screening checkpoint, integrating state-of-the-art access control measures with the City's Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). The newly constructed checkpoint will function as a controlled-entry "sally port", ensuring that all entrants are properly screened before being granted access to the building. In addition to structural modifications, the project includes electrical, HVAC, and telecommunications installations, along with necessary site improvements to maintain accessibility and historical integrity.
Memorial Hall is a historically significant venue in the heart of Pueblo, serving as an important civic and cultural gathering space. As public safety concerns continue to evolve, the City recognizes the need to enhance security at the building’s main entrance while preserving its architectural character and ensuring seamless public access. This project is driven by the dual objectives of strengthening access control through modern security screening measures and maintaining the welcoming nature of the facility. By installing a controlled-entry security checkpoint in the form of a tension fabric structure (TFS), the City aims to balance safety, efficiency, and historical sensitivity. The TFS will function as a secure yet unobtrusive screening area, ensuring that all visitors are appropriately vetted before entering Memorial Hall. Integrating access control features with the City's Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) will allow for real-time monitoring and improved incident response capabilities.
