The solicitation will close on or about 15 April 2025. This solicitation is unrestricted.
Project Description:
The work in this project is to evaluate and design rock bar anchors in the Fort Union shale foundation to ensure the anchor production design is constructible, repeatable, and capable of resisting potential design loads. A secondary objective is to continue to refine understanding of site geotechnical properties. The following is a summary of major work tasks requested for this scope of work and presented in anticipated sequential order of work:
1. Laboratory testing. Samples from the drilling conducted by the government shall be provided to the contractor for laboratory testing and used to confirm anchor design scope assumptions.
2. Anchor bar acquisition. The contractor shall then mobilize to install anchors. All anchor bars must be fabricated and delivered as part of the award to ensure sufficient lead time is achieved.
3. Anchor bar installation. The contract shall perform drilling and anchor bar system installation in accordance with the anchor design scope assumptions.
4. Anchor field testing. Installed rock anchors shall undergo full-scale proof load, performance, and/or extended creep testing according to the testing requirements. The contractor shall develop a long-term monitoring system for anchors to monitor load loss, creep, and deformation of the stressed anchors which shall be capable of providing meaningful data for no less than 10 years.
