Consulting Services for Roof Replacement at Coronach Health Centre

A mandatory site meeting has been scheduled for November 27th, 2024 at 10:30 AM – meet at front entrance of Coronach Health Centre. All Bidders are required to attend the site meeting in order to familiarize themselves with the work site and the true extent of the work. Bidders are responsible for obtaining all necessary information regarding the work site prior to preparing and submitting Bids. Pre-register for site meeting via email to chrissa.ullyott@saskhealthauthority.ca one day prior to site meeting.

BACKGROUND
The roofing system at Coronach Health Centre is in need of repair. There are 6 sections, 3 of which have active leaks. Roof panels are wearing beyond the point that they will no longer be safe from oxidizing. The roof is made of metal shingles and the metal shingles cannot be replaced. Request to replace the entire metal roof with asphalt shingles.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The Consultant shall perform the following services in connection with the project:
Prime consultant services are required to design roof system, project documents, detailed drawings, tendering, project management and contract administration for the replacement of roof system at Coronach Health Centre. This work will include consultants to review all roofing sections and provide recommendations for replacement/repair.
Expected Consultant Services are detailed within Appendix D.
Proponents and sub consultants are required to hold a valid license to practice and be in compliance with all laws and regulations as governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan.
Designs are required to be comply with:
1. CAN/CSA Z317.13 - Infection control during construction, renovation and maintenance of health care facilities
2. CAN/CSA Z8000 – Canadian health care facilities
3. CAN/CSA Z8001 – Commissioning of health care facilities
4. CAN/CSA Z8002 – Operating and maintenance of health care facilities
5. CAN/CSA Z317.2 – Special requirements for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems in health care facilities
6. CAN/CSA Z317.1 – Special requirements for plumbing installations in health care facilities
7. Current building codes and CAN/CSA standards as may apply to the design of this project
8. Any other pertaining SHA Policies and P
