• Request for Proposal
Environment and Protected Areas
This Request for Proposal is requesting a qualified Contractor to facilitate conversations with local land users, Indigenous Peoples, trappers, and local communities on legacy seismic lines restoration.
Due to the amount of legacy seismic lines on Alberta’s landscape, the work of the CHRP has the potential to affect the access of many local land users, including Indigenous communities, trappers, and communities local to areas where restoration is occurring. This project seeks to create opportunities to communicate clearly and effectively with these groups about the CHRP and specific activities under the program. This will support relationship building and foster a deeper understanding of the CHRP and its dual goals of supporting caribou habitat recovery while enabling future development as economically unproductive footprint is recovered across the landscape.
The value-adding nature of facilitation support for the program is growing as program activities are scaled up across northern Alberta, and the number of interested land users, organizations, and communities grows.
