APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to the University of Michigan for access to the University of Michigan's proprietary models for the cost-effectiveness of vaccines and for reports based on these proprietary models. This contract will be for a base year plus four option years. CDC is not aware of any other models capable of estimating the cost-effectiveness of vaccines at the level of detail required.
This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government for the purpose of whether to conduct a sole source acquisition. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to contract specialist William O’Bryan at rvq0@cdc.gov and contract specialist Ruben Reyes-Colon by 3:00 PM EDT on April 11, 2025.
