Website Redesign
Synopsis:
The Western Development Museum (WDM) is requesting proposals from interested, qualified, and experienced website design firms to update and improve the WDM’s existing website with a focus on user experience and accessibility. The WDM’s current website (wdm.ca) was built and launched in 2018 and now needs to be updated to offer a better user experience.
Our primary goal is a comprehensive redesign that successfully presents all essential content in an easy to navigate, aesthetically-pleasing, website that enhances the user experience, upholds our brand, and is easy for WDM staff to update.

Additional Information:
An overwhelming majority of the content and information contained in the current site is important, timely and essential. Utilizing the expertise of industry professionals, the latest technology and contemporary communication practices, the successful Proponent will create an intuitive, uncomplicated website that presents all of the complexities of the WDM and its four Museum locations in a user-friendly, easily searchable, visually pleasing way.
There is one main URL wdm.ca for all locations that must communicate general Museum information as well as location specific details. This will include items such a searchable events listing, local/location specific elements (hours, address, contact info, site specific programming) along with general WDM information populated across the whole site that applies to multiple locations. The website design will be expected to combine general information about the four locations into one easy to update portal, while still having location specific details as an option.
