This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by SaskTel to prospective Suppliers to submit proposals for the provision of a Transmission Telephone Pole pre-qualification list for SaskTel’s Aurora Program. (the “Deliverables”):
Aurora Program
SaskTel is committed to expand its fibre optical services to several 28 - 33 small communities in NORTHERN Saskatchewan. The Aurora Program is an expedited, and complimentary, version of SaskTel’s existing FTTX Program which has placed fibre throughout the province over the past decade. This pre-qualification RFP is seeking Suppliers who are interested and capable of completing the necessary outside plant/construction and cabling in remote northern SK communities. The work will include, but not limited to:
- placing, rearranging and splicing of fibre optic telecommunication facilities, for aerial, underground and buried facilities
- this work will be done (but not limited to) use of a directional boring unit, trencher, small sneaker plough, cable plough, hand trencher, skid steer, gravel truck, service trucks and backhoe, transportation vehicles, trailers, cable dollies, hydro-excavation equipment, etc.
This RFP is to contract Suppliers under a Master Services Agreement which will pre-qualify vendors for work as job packages are finalized.
Please note that COR/SECOR certification is a requirement for this competition.
