Description

In accordance with FAR 5.2, this is a notification of a proposed sole-source contract action to GDCA Inc.

The US Coast Guard, C5I Service Center, intends to solicit and award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to GDCA, Inc., 1799 Portola Avenue, Livermore, CA 94551-7934. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions has partnered with GDCA Inc. to extend the life of this legacy hardware. GDCA has exclusive access to Curtiss-Wright’s technical data and resources. Based on market research conducted, they are the only vendor that can provide repairs to Curtiss-Wright’s Legacy Radar Hardware Products. These materials cannot be repaired through any other vendor because GDCA Inc. is the only authorized repair source for this Legacy radar equipment. GDCA is the only authorized source for providing OEM authorized repairs to the Osiris PCI Radar interface card. There is no other repair facility authorized to test and repair this part.

All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Interested vendors may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than (NLT) 11:00AM ET.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.

This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to the Contract Specialist, Brianna Riffle, Email: Brianna.Riffle@uscg.mil and the Contracting Officer, Mark Rushing, Email: Mark.A.Rushing@uscg.mil with the Notice ID number referenced in the subject line.
