ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Daphne at Daphne City Hall (1705 Main Street, P. O. Box 400,
Daphne, AL 36526) until 11:30 A.M. on April 23, 2026 and thereafter the same will be publicly opened for
furnishing all labor and materials, and performing all Work required by City of Daphne for the following Project:
BID DOCUMENT NO: 2026-C-FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORK PRESENTATION
The Work will consist of a July 4th Fireworks Display, on July 4, 2026 at 9:00 p.m. CST at Trione Sports
Complex, Daphne, AL.
No bids will be accepted after the above stated date and time.
All Bids must be on blank forms provided in the Specifications and submitted in its entirety. A cashier’s check
drawn on an Alabama bank or a Bidder’s bond, payable to City of Daphne, Alabama, for an amount not less than
five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), shall be filed with
the Bid. The Bidder’s bond shall be prepared on the form specified and signed by a bonding company authorized
to do business in the State of Alabama.
In addition, the Contractor must furnish to the City at the time of the signing of the Agreement a certificate of
insurance coverage as provided in the Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all
Bids and to waive informalities and to furnish any item of material or work to change the amount of the Contract
Price.
Bids are invited from all qualified respondents. The City of Daphne is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All
minority business enterprises (MBE) and disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE) will be taken into
consideration.
The City may disqualify Bidders that have had prior demands placed on a bid bond, payment bond, or performance
bond within the last five (5) years prior to the date of this Bid submission.
If the Contract is to be awarded, the City will award the Contract to the most responsible and qualified bidder.
No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of Bids without the consent
of the City Council of City of Daphne, Alabama.
