Description
The Bedford VA Medical Center located at 200 Springs Road in Bedford, MA has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price contract to replace the elevators at Bedford VAMC. The six elevators were inspected by enDevelopment LLC for deficiencies and the report is included in the contract briefcase. The elevators are identified as Building 06 Car P 1, Building 07 Car P 1, Building 09 Car P 1, Building 10 Car P 1, Building 62 Car F 1, and Building 62 Car P 1.
SCOPE:
The scope of this project consists of completely preparing site for building operations including replacement of elevator components and machinery to bring elevators up to modern code compliance. The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials and perform work for one traction passenger elevator each in Buildings 6, 7, and 62 for a total of three (3) traction elevators, hydraulic elevator each in Buildings 9, 10, and 62 for a total of three (3) hydraulic elevators at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford MA.

The period of performance (type A and B services) is 595 calendar days, beginning with the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) by the Contracting Officer.
The VA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this announcement.

This is a Request for Qualifications:

This notice is not a solicitation and is intended only for market research purposes and to determine interest in the project by qualified SDVOSBs that have the experience directed at the requirements of the Statement of work.

The NAICS code is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors and the small business size standard is $22 million per year.

Note, the specialty NAICS code will require the prime to perform at least 25% of the work.

The estimated magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000.
