The GSA Catalog Management Office (CMO) is seeking industry input through a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the potential requirement to use Global Trade Item Number (GTINs) for all commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products in the FAS Catalog Platform (FCP). This RFI is part of our ongoing market research to evaluate how GTIN adoption could enhance product traceability, de-duplication, configurability, and automation across the federal marketplace.
In particular, we are interested in how such a requirement may impact vendors that offer configurable products, or that do not currently assign GTINs at the individual product level.
To support this effort, click on the link (below) to access the full RFI and provide feedback by May 30, 2025.
Please share this opportunity with colleagues or partners who may have valuable insights.
Your feedback will help shape future catalog requirements and improve data quality within the federal marketplace.
As always, we thank you for your continued partnership.
