This is a single source posting notification; there are no solicitation documents for download. Note this posting is not a Request for Bid (RFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP).
The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) and Bureau for Criminal Apprehension (BCA), with the Department of Public Safety, intend to renew an agreement with DataWorks Plus, LLC, for eight (8) months to provide livescan machines, related hardware, software, services, and maintenance. The agreement will also allow for the purchase of up to 75 livescan machines. The term of this Single Source is intended to provide an avenue for purchasing the needed goods and services while the State pursues a new competitive solicitation for the same types of goods and services.
The DOC and BCA have determined that DataWorks Plus, LLC livescan machines are the only commercially reasonably available commodity products that have been customized to send electronic fingerprints to the BCA’s systems. These customized livescan machines are solely distributed and supported by DataWorks Plus, LLC, and are not available from other third parties. For these reasons, this is deemed a single source purchase.
