Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received for a Roof Replacement project for the
Badgett Building located at 600 Third Ave., Ridgeland, SC 29936, by Jasper County, South
Carolina, (the “County”) until Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at which time all
Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Jasper County Council Chamber.
MANDATORY MEETING
A mandatory meeting with Bidding Organizations (“Bidders”) will be held on February 3, 2026,
at 11:00 a.m. at the Badgett Building located at 600 Third Ave., Ridgeland, SC 29936. The
Bid will not be accepted if this meeting is not attended.
To be deemed “received,” the Bid may be submitted electronically through the County’s
Vendor Registration webpage to ensure that it remains sealed until the scheduled bid opening
date and time. A link to the County’s Vendor Registration webpage may be found under Bids
& Solicitations, on the County’s website at www.jaspercountysc.gov/services/bids-and-
solicitations/.
The Bid may also be submitted via mail or hand delivered in a sealed envelope to the address
below with “Badgett Roof IVTB #2026-3” written on the outside of the envelope. The Bid
must be received no later than 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Bidders
choosing to submit a hard copy should submit an original and two copies. Any Bids submitted
or delivered after the above time will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.

DESCRIPTION
Remove and replace the existing roof. See Exhibit A.
SCOPE OF WORK
• Roof is approximately 2020 sq. ft. in total (Bidder is responsible for determining the actual
square footage.)
• Remove and dispose of existing shingles and underlayment
• Remove, replace, and dispose of all rotted sheeting (Approximately 4 sheets of sheeting will need
to be replace)
• Install new underlayment
• Install new algae resistant architectural shingles
• Color: Charcoal/Black
• 25 Year Minimum Limited Warranty
• Replace all roof boots
• Install end trim and drip edge. Materials shall match shingle color
All Bids should include any job-related permits, fees, and licenses, and South Carolina and local
sales taxes (9%).

BID REQUIREMENTS
Bids should be placed on company letterhead or a document providing the company name,
address, and phone number and reference “Badgett Roof IVTB #2026-3.”
The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish the County with a W-9, a certificate of
insurance showing evidence of liability and workers compensation coverage in the amounts
listed below.
Each Bidder must be qualified under the provisions of the most current State of South
Carolina Contractor’s Licensing Law Code. Bids will not be considered unless the bidder is
legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor’s Licensing Law. By
submitting a bid, the Bidder is certifying that it has independently determined that its
licensure is adequate to authorize it to submit the bid.
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
The successful Bidder shall be required to provide proof of insurance in the following amounts.
1. Workers' Compensation - The vendor shall provide coverage for its employees with statutory
workers' compensation limits, and no less than $1,000,000.00 for Employers' Liability. Said
coverage shall include a waiver of subrogation in favor of the OWNER and its agents, employees
and officials.
2. Commercial General Liability - The vendor shall provide coverage for all operations
including, but not limited to, Contractual, Products and Completed Operations, and Personal
Injury. The limits shall be no less than $1,000,000.00, per occurrence, with a $2,000,000.00
aggregate.
3. Business Automobile Liability - The vendor shall provide coverage for all owned, non-owned
and hired vehicles with limits of not less than $1,000,000.00, per occurrence, Combined
Single Limits (CSL) or its equivalent.
All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for sixty (60) days after the day of the Bid opening.
Jasper County (Owner) reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation
the right to reject any or all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids.
Owner also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time or changes in
the work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful Bidder.
