Description
UCalgary is modernizing its IT infrastructure to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and better support research. In particular, these objectives focus on creating a platform for researchers to develop and run autonomously managed applications and systems in a public cloud environment requiring a breadth of capabilities while allowing central IT to ensure and attest to data security. Initial focus will be on applications required to manage sensitive data including patient identifiable data.
The contracted services will also include consolidating existing ad-hoc cloud services into a managed multi-cloud environment. To achieve this, UCalgary plans to partner with a specialized cloud service provider. This strategic decision is based on a thorough evaluation and aims to enhance service delivery and drive innovation.
