Education and Childcare
Alberta Education and Childcare is seeking proposals for the review and updating of Education Area Guidelines, sometimes referred to as design standards, as found in Appendix A of the School Capital Manual. The Education Area Guidelines set the capacity instructional and non-instructional area of a school building, taking into consideration square meters per student, grade configuration, and curriculum requirements. The guidelines also align with the Technical Design Standards set by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
