The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation aims to secure authorization to procure and

implement the File Management Categorization and Analysis Tool (FMCAT) within the

FDIC environment. FMCAT is a critical enabler for successfully launching the Content

Information Management (CIM) initiative, which seeks to transform how enterprise

content is governed, accessed, and stored in the cloud. This initiative cannot proceed

without conducting a comprehensive analysis and cleanup of redundant, obsolete, and

trivial (ROT) content currently residing across the FDIC's network shares.
