Notice of Intent to award sole source Camp Roberts Solar Powered Wedge Traffic System

The procurement is for one Solar Powered Wedge Traffic Barrier System, including:

• Minimum 20-ft clear opening for large vehicles.


• Solar-powered battery system with continuous and backup power (no charging downtime).


• Solar charge controller, external pole mounts, and traffic warning light.


• ASTM M30-rated crash panel.


• Galvanized carbon steel construction capable of high-desert environmental exposure.


• Portable system, weight not exceeding 7.5 tons; surface-mount placement (no ground-anchoring).


• Yellow/white high-visibility finish.


• Hinged crash plate, integrated controls, and operability verification.


• Delivery, installation materials, setup labor, familiarization training, and testing at Camp Roberts.


• Delivery NTE 120 days, installation/testing NTE 60 days from award.

This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations, and a solicitation will not be issued for this requirement. Any responses or inquiries to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government.
