Sled Lake Community Hall Kitchen Rebuild
Synopsis:

The Northern Settlement of Sled Lake’s community hall kitchen requires demolition, disposal, and a new reheat kitchen built. The community hall is located on lot MR3, block 4, plan 102076310 within the settlement. The new kitchen addition is to be built in the same location as the current kitchen. The kitchen and deck are to be built according to the supplied engineered drawings. The engineered drawings are for an RTM build. The option for an on-site build is available, but it needs to generally follow the provided layout. Any deviation from the drawings must be approved by the District Public Works Manager before the change.

Northern Municipal Services, on behalf of the District (a northern incorporated municipality) is requesting proposals from contractors for the demolition and rebuild of a community hall kitchen in the Northern Settlement of Sled Lake. The hall kitchen is attached to the northeast side of the community hall.

At minimum, the successful contractor will be responsible for the following:

  1. Complete the site visit(s) necessary to assess project needs
  2. Provide all lodging, meal, and travel costs to complete the site visit(s) necessary to perform the demolition and build.
  3. Work with District officials to coordinate access to the site(s).
  4. Demolition and proper disposal of current community hall kitchen off site at an approved Regional Landfill
  5. Supply all materials and tools required to complete the demolition
  6. Remove all surplus materials, tools, equipment, and debris post-demolition.
  7. Oversee, hire, and include all subcontractors in their bid
  8. Clean up and site preparation for new community hall kitchen
  9. Build new community hall kitchen & deck according to supplied engineered drawings (see Appendix A for supplied engineered drawings)
  10. Ensure permits, routes, logistics, insurance coverage etc., are in place for hauling the RTM to Sled Lake
  11. Adhere to all applicable codes and bylaws.
  12. Arrange and complete all required building inspections
  13. Supply all materials and to complete the new build
