Description: The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of bear resistant food storage lockers for North Lake Campground within Region 4. The installation and use of food storage containers within campgrounds has proven to decrease conflicts with bears both within the region and across the State including high bear areas such as Old Forge and Inlet. A decrease in bear conflicts results in reduced time that staff need to dedicate to these incidents each year.
