Overview
Pierce County is soliciting statements of qualifications from consultant(s) to provide a preliminary engineering design for the County Road Project, CRP 5116. The qualified firm will design pedestrian improvements including a traffic signal, crossing signal and crosswalk at the intersection of 12

Avenue East at the entrance to North Tapps Middle School.
The project is funded through State legislative appropriations and the improvements will consist of a traffic signal with video activation on 3 legs and traditional loops on 1 leg, a crossing signal with pedestrian push buttons, intersection improvements to meet ADA requirements, and supplemental illumination as needed for visibility.
