Bidders are hereby notified that this Addendum shall be made a part of the documents. The intent is to add to, modify, or
clarify the documents. Should any of these items have an effect on price, such changes shall be included in the price bid.
These items have the same force and effect as if contained in the original.
ITEM 1:
QUESTION/ANSWER
Q1. On sheet B1-7 on the plans and SP-001 on page 19 of the contract documents, it shows removal and
replacement of rip rap, also placement of sod. It also shows removal of a 6” force water main, a traffic barrier,
etc. However, there are no pay items for any of these items. Please clarify that we only bid on the line items of the
bid. Please further clarify that there is no replacement of rip rap, sod, water main removal, traffic barrier removal.
A1. Sheet B1-7 uses an existing bridge plan view as background to identify the repair scope for this project. The repair
scope is identified under the bridge repair scope notes on Sheet B1-07 and throughout the Structures Plans. Removal and
replacement of rip rap, placement of sod, removal of a 6” force water main, and removal of traffic barrier are not part of this
contract nor identified as part of the bridge repair scope.
ITEM 2:
REMOVE/REPLACE
On Page 19 in Special Provisions section, SP-01 INTENT, the first paragraph is hereby removed (strikethrough
shows section removed).
REMOVE:
SP-01 INTENT: This project consists of CR 775 over Ainger Creek Bridge Repairs (Bridge #010062). The project includes
various minor bridge repairs. The work also includes all other items of construction including, but not limited to, removal and
disposal of existing structures, site dewatering, excavation and fill, grading, sodding, and maintenance of traffic. The work
specified herein shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, labor and operations necessary to complete the work
as indicated in the plans and specifications enclosed herein. All work included in the Bid shall be completed within the
contract time from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The construction shall include, but not be limited to,
establishment and removal of Maintenance of Traffic measures, the provision of approved signs and markings.
On Page 19 in Special Provisions section, SP-01 INTENT, the first paragraph is hereby replaced.
REPLACE:
