Notice is hereby given that SEALED BIDS will be received by the Purchasing Coordinator in person at the City of Gilroy Council Chambers, 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, CA 95020, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, for the FY26 CDBG Sidewalk and Curb Ramp Project No. 26-PW-303. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 1:30 PM.
The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform the design of new curb ramps and the demolition and/or construction of new curb ramps, driveway approaches, curb and gutter, and sidewalks. The work also includes storm drainage improvements, tree and tree stump removal, tree installation, minor asphalt concrete replacement, pavement striping, curb markings, stormwater management, and other incidentals thereto, in various locations in the City of Gilroy, as outlined in these plans and specifications.
This project requires the Contractor to propose appropriate curb ramp types (depending on site conditions) and layout, field fit, and install new curb ramps. It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to be familiar with the site conditions prior to bid. All improvements shall be ADA-compliant.
This project is funded through federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, and the contractor shall comply with all applicable federal requirements, including active registration with the federal System for Award Management (https://sam.gov) before bid opening. Bidders who fail to register at https://sam.gov before bid opening shall be considered non-responsive.
Bids delivered before October 9, 2025 at 1:00 PM must be delivered to the City Hall Information Desk at the northeast entrance of City Hall. City Hall is currently open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Fridays by appointment only. Bids received after the stated time and date will not be accepted. The City of Gilroy will not be responsible for delayed deliveries or deliveries made to another location other than the location specified above. Bids should be in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the project title, project number, bidder’s name, and time and date of the bid opening.
