The City of Roanoke, Texas (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Dorman Street Improvements

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Roanoke City Hall located at 500 South Oak Street, until Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read in the first floor Conference Room #102.

The Project includes the following Work:

Reconstruction of Dorman Street from Byron Nelson Blvd to Lois Street, including paving, underground storm drainage, replacement of the existing water main, and replacement of the existing sanitary sewer main.

Instructions to Bidders.

For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.

ATTENTION: Pursuant to Texas Government Code 2252.908, you must be able to provide the City of Roanoke (the “Owner”) with a printed and executed original of a completed Certificate of Interested Parties form (Form 1295) prior to executing the contract. Failure to do so will result in the Owner’s inability to execute the contract. Obtaining the Bidding Documents
Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be obtained by email to Jeff Sears (jsears@tnpinc.com) at the issuing office listed below.
Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the link provided by the issuing office upon request by email. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the issuing office as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the provided link in either electronic or paper format. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only to plan holders who have registered with the issuing office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office.

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the issuing office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the issuing office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the issuing office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office.
Bidding Documents may be purchased from the issuing office during the hours indicated above. Cost for each set of Bidding Documents will be $100.00, which does not include shipping charges. Upon issuing office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen.

Qualifications:
Bid Bond
Bidders are required to submit a cashier’s or certified check issued by a bank satisfactory to the City of Roanoke, or a Bid Bond (with proper Power of Attorney) from a surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, payable without recourse to the City of Roanoke, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid submitted to insure that the successful bidder will enter into a contract and provide all necessary bonds within fifteen (15) days after Notice of Award of the contract. This bid security must be included in the bid envelope for the bidder to be considered responsive. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds as described in the bidding documents.

Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday January 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the first floor Conference Room #102 at Roanoke City Hall located at 500 South Oak Street, Roanoke, Texas, 76262. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
