The Iowa DOT is seeking bids for: Radar Speed Feedback Signs for School Zones as per School Zone Sign Specifications (Attachments Tab)

Pre-Bid Substitution

Submissions must be on the DOT required form & attach supporting manufacturer specs sheet.

The form and attachments are to be emailed to tanner.thomsen@iowadot.us on or before the cut off date & time indicated below.

Late submissions will not be accepted.

Estimated Quantities

The exact quantities purchased per year is dependent on funding and Iowa DOT final approval. At this time, it should be understood there are no guaranteed minimum purchases and actual purchases may vary considerably based on actual needs throughout the contract period.

Contract Award

It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.

Award will be made for any one group or combination of groups. All items within a group must be bid to be considered for a group award.

Contract

The Contractor will be awarded a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for five (5) additional years in twelve (12) month increments.

Communications:

Until a contract is awarded the sole point of contact for the solicitation is the Purchasing Agent identified in the solicitation.

All questions must be directed solely to the purchasing agent listed in the bid opportunity. We encourage vendor to upload all questions on or before the question cut off due date and time in ION wave. Responses to questions will be communicated out to vendors via DOT’s ION wave bid system.

Responses shall be submitted within DOT’s IONwave Bid System or signed and prepared in ink or typewritten in the solicitation documents provided. Telephonic, email or facsimile responses shall not be considered.
