INVITATION TO BID
Notice is hereby given that Cascade County Public Works will receive sealed bids for the construction of Cascade County Sun Prairie Estates Road Rehabilitation. The complete Invitation to Bid, Contract Documents consisting of half-size Drawings, and Project Manual may be viewed or obtained at the office of Woith Engineering, Inc, 405 3rd ST NS, Suite 206, Great Falls, MT 59404 (406) 205-1761.
Bids are due and will be opened publicly and read aloud on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the time of 1:00 o'clock p.m. in the office of the Board of Cascade County Commissioners, in the Cascade County Annex, located at 325 2nd Ave North #111, Great Falls, MT. No electronic/digital media bids are allowed. Late bids will be returned unopened.
The project generally consists of an 0.25' plant mix overlay on 4.90 miles of the Sun Prairie Estates Community, which includes Sun Prairie Road, Prairie Dog Lane, Sun Loop Road, and Riverfront Lane. Other miscellaneous work includes corrective base course, full depth replacements, shoulder preparation, connection milling, and approach connections.
There will not be a Pre-Bid Conference for this project.
CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR'S subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling 1-406-444-7734. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Cascade County and the state of Montana. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the County of Cascade in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided.
Award of this project will be contingent upon receiving concurrence from the Cascade County Commission. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids, which is stated above.
The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the County of Cascade.
