Construction of Temporary Fire Station No.4

Fire Station No. 4 at 3600 Middlefield Road will be relocated to the Cubberley Community Center, at the southwest parking lot, for up to a 24-month period during the construction of the new Fire Station No.4. The temporary station will house two fire personnel, one ambulance, and essential equipment for continued operations. The Construction of the Temporary Fire Station No.4 will include site improvement work required for the installation of a prefabricated 24'x60' leased modular building with accessible ramp and stairs, prefabricated 20'x30' metal carport and 15'x20' metal equipment shed, 400 amp meter panel to serve the space, and required utility connections. Construction on the temporary site should begin immediately after contract approval inorder to complete the project by March 2025, before construction of the New Fire Station No.4 in early spring of 2025.

The Cubberley Community Center is an active site that hosts ongoing educational classes, sporting activities and community events throughout the day and will be heavily circulated with pedestrians and vehicles. Construction impacts to the community centers circulation and/or operations shall be limited, with all construction activities outside the project site approved.
