The City of Marlborough (“City”), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from contractors for the Birch Road Sewer Pump Station Improvements in Marlborough, Massachusetts, CONTRACT NO. ED 2025-08 for the Department of Public Works-Engineering Division in accordance with the documents prepared by Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc. The project consists of handling of existing wastewater flows and bypass pumping, manhole-to-manhole replacement of existing sewer main and services, installation of sewage grinder manhole, replacement of existing wet well, installation of valve vault structure, removal of existing single-phase duplex submersible pumps and associated hardware, furnishing and installation of new sewage grinder unit, furnishing and installation of new three-phase duplex submersible cutter pumps and associated hardware, installation of new submersible level transducer and digital controller with emergency back-up high level alarm float, installation of Mission alarm notification system, removal and replacement of existing control panel with a new control panel, installation of VFD to convert single-phase input power to three-phase, installation of new underground electrical conduits, removal and proper disposal of existing fence and installation of new fence, removal and proper disposal of existing liquid propane generator and fuel storage tank, installation of a new liquid propane generator and fuel storage tank, installation of new water service and yard hydrant, paving of pump station site and driveway, environmental controls, loaming and seeding, landscaping, dewatering as necessary, and all other items required to provide a completed operational sewer pump station as shown and specified in the Birch Road Sewer Pump Station Improvements contract documents, including all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the Work.  The estimated project cost is approximately $1,750,000.00.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Marlborough (“City”), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from contractors for the

subject to M.G.L., c. 30, §39M, and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, §26 through 27H
inclusive. The Bid Package may be obtained as of 9:00 AM on January 22, 2026 and must be

Neither Owner nor Designer shall be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including
Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than Projectdog Inc. Questions regarding the website or project
distribution should be directed to Projectdog at (978) 499-9014. Questions concerning the bid specifications
must be submitting in writing via email to Attn: Mark Dascoli at mdascoli@marlborough-ma.gov no later
than 3 business days prior to the scheduled bid opening. All questions and answers shall be distributed as
an addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. Bidders are strongly encouraged to
attend a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, January 29, 2026 on
site at 6 Birch Road. Electronic Sealed Bids will be received until 9:00 AM on February 12, 2026 through
online submission at www.Projectdog.com. Hard copies of bids will not be accepted by Projectdog.com or
by the City offices. Each sealed electronic bid shall be submitted on the prescribed forms. Tutorials and
Instructions are available online at www.Projectdog.com. Bids will be available immediately for public
view at the date and time stated above online at www.Projectdog.com. Bids shall be clearly identified as
per instructions at Projectdog’s website. Bid Security shall be at least five percent (5%) of the greatest
possible bid amount, considering all alternates. The Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond shall be:
a) with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
and satisfactory to Owner;
b) conditional upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in
the Bid; and
c) submitted with your E-Bid online at www.Projectdog.com.In lieu of and ONLY IN LIEU
OF an insurance Bid Bond certificate submitted as outlined above (items a. through c.), a
Bid Security in the form of cash, or a certified check, treasurer’s, or cashier’s check issued
by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the Owner must be submitted
